The reason we do this is because we can then use the tongue to set the bit height for the grove. I know this is a hard question to answer but I’m hoping to generate discussion so I can get a better idea how to go about this I’ve made them over the years and sold to friends, gave some for presents and made them for myself.

The checkout clerk gave me a puzzled look as I bought three 16 oz bottles not knowing how much would be needed for the task. The board sucked up one entire 16 oz bottle over two days — both sides, all ends and edges.
